A Returner’s Magic Season 2: October 7 Premiere, New Trailer and Streaming
A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special Season 2 finally has a precise schedule. On September 15, the official website released its second promotional video, main key visual and broadcast details: the anime returns in Japan on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, as part of Fuji TV’s +Ultra block.
The new trailer puts the next conflict front and center
The PV shows Desir and his Hebrion Academy allies facing a wider threat while introducing new opponents. It also provides the first preview of “Sorrow,” the new opening theme by FLOW. The band returns after performing “Get Back” for Season 1.
The main visual brings Desir, Romantica, Pram and Azest together opposite the forces standing in their way. It signals a move from academy training into a more dangerous phase of the story, already foreshadowed by Desir’s nightmare about Romantica’s death and the appearance of the demon Dadenewf.
Release date, times and confirmed platforms
Fuji TV will air the premiere on October 7 at 24:45, which is the early morning of October 8 in conventional time. Kansai TV begins on October 8, while Tokai TV and AT-X start on October 10. The official schedule notes that times may change.
For streaming, d Anime Store, U-NEXT and Anime Hodai begin early distribution on October 7 at 25:15. FOD, ABEMA, Prime Video Japan, Hulu Japan and other local services follow from October 11. The official Japanese site has not yet announced a global window or European dub dates.
Staff and cast emphasize continuity
Arvo Animation remains the animation studio, with production by HAYATE. Taishi Kawaguchi directs, Takamitsu Kōno handles series composition and scripts, Hiromi Katō leads character design and Kenta Higashiohji composes the music. Takuma Terashima returns as Desir, Sayumi Suzushiro as Romantica, Natsumi Fujiwara as Pram and Asami Seto as Azest.
That continuity matters because Season 2 directly extends the existing story: Desir remembers the ruined future and tries to change it by building a party capable of surviving the Shadow Worlds.
What remains unconfirmed
The September 15 update confirms the Japanese premiere, broadcasters, local streaming services, opening song and new PV. It does not confirm the episode count, a global simulcast, or Italian, German and English dub dates. Those details should remain open rather than be filled with speculation.
