Waaaaaa: The Italian Solo Indie Is Now on Steam
A scream, a club and an alien invasion: Waaaaaa: A Prehistoric Adventure With Aliens has been available on Steam since September 23, 2026. Strange Guy Games is the codename of an Italian solo developer, supported by two friends for the pixel art and soundtrack.
Prehistory, aliens and almost no words
The hero searches for the missing inhabitants of his village across forests, volcanoes, caves and alien machinery. Instead of traditional dialogue, communication relies on symbols, icons, gestures and primal sounds.
The adventure combines top-down exploration, environmental puzzles and deliberately fast turn-based combat. Rescued companions have different abilities that can open new paths and solve obstacles.
A project built almost entirely by one developer
The official developer note describes Strange Guy Games as an Italian solo developer. Programming and direction were handled alone, with two friends contributing the pixel art and soundtrack.
Waaaaaa also has a demo. Dinosaurs, strange creatures, alien technology, puzzles and a club come together in a deliberately absurd adventure RPG with a distinctive identity.
