adidas x BAPE 2026: Crazy Energy+, COLOR CAMO and varsity jacket drop November 7
Late-1990s and early-2000s basketball culture is back in the streetwear conversation. On November 2, 2026, adidas and A BATHING APE unveiled a capsule that brings court-inspired silhouettes together with the visual codes of Harajuku. Rather than simply replaying an old trend, the collection uses COLOR CAMO, reversible apparel and varsity detailing to build a contemporary wardrobe.
The collection is scheduled to launch on Saturday, November 7, 2026. Basketball player Jalen Williams fronts the campaign, embodying the overlap between sport, fashion and the culture that surrounds both.

Purple COLOR CAMO sets the visual direction
Purple is not an incidental accent here. It runs throughout the collection and recalls one of BAPE's most recognizable eras. Camouflage prints, strong contrasts and early-2000s references give the capsule a visual identity that does not depend on a prominent logo.
That approach makes sense in basketball culture. Oversized jerseys, warm-up sets and varsity jackets have shaped everyday style well beyond the court. adidas and BAPE bring those codes forward without treating the past as a costume.
Crazy Energy+: a performance silhouette with BAPE DNA
The footwear centerpiece is the Crazy Energy+, one of adidas Basketball's newer performance silhouettes. BAPE covers it in metallic COLOR CAMO SILVER, adds a knitted WGM lace overlay – short for World Gone Mad – and includes two interchangeable lace options.
The contrast is the point: a basketball shoe built around performance receives an unapologetically graphic streetwear treatment. The announcement does not specify one universal retail price, so local pricing and size availability should be checked at launch.

Varsity outerwear, a reversible hoodie and collectible details
The apparel standout is a black varsity jacket with purple accents, gold studs and an oversized World Gone Mad chenille graphic across the back. A purple reversible mesh hoodie follows, with a tonal Shark face on the outer hood and an all-over STA print on the reverse.
Reversible Adibreak track pants, a World Gone Mad warm-up top, a BABY MILO tee, a reversible beanie and a BABY MILO basketball bag round out the line. The reversible construction is more than a novelty: it gives the wearer two distinct styling directions in a single garment.

Release date and where to look
According to adidas, the collection arrives November 7 through the CONFIRMED app, selected retailers, BAPE STORE and BAPE.COM. Availability may differ by region, size and product; the official channels remain the best place to confirm local stock.
