Expelled from Paradise: Final Trailer, Theme Song and November 13 Release
The journey beyond digital paradise finally has a clearer shape. Between October 12 and 13, 2026, the official Expelled from Paradise: Resonance of the Heart website revealed the main trailer, a new key visual and details of the theme song. The film is scheduled to open in Japanese cinemas on November 13, 2026.

A sequel that begins with Angela's rebellion
The story takes place in the year 2400, when most of humanity lives in DEVA's digital reality after abandoning both physical bodies and Earth. Angela Balzac's rebellion and Frontier Setter's attack left a rift behind: several agents escaped to the surface with physical bodies and devices holding their personal data.
Gabriel, a third-class agent in the Public Security Bureau, is ordered to track down these fugitives, now known as the Fallen. Together with her fellow agents, she must cross an Earth still affected by the nano-hazard and discover who the Fallen truly are and what threat they pose to DEVA.

Main staff and production
Creative continuity with the 2014 film is one of the project's biggest strengths. Seiji Mizushima returns as director, Nitroplus's Gen Urobuchi writes the screenplay, Masatsugu Saito handles character design, and NARASAKI composes the music. Toei Animation is producing the animation.
The main cast includes Ayane Sakura as Gabriel, Saori Hayami as Alma, Yuki Aoyama as Danelle, Sally Amaki as Raguel, and Sumire Morohoshi as Penemue. Rie Kugimiya reprises her role as Angela Balzac.

Beyond the Night: a theme song connecting character and performer
The main theme song is titled Beyond the Night. TeddyLoid wrote its lyrics, music and arrangement, and performs it alongside Ayane Sakura in her role as Gabriel and Nagi Inoue of Nogizaka46. The digital release is set for November 11, two days before the film opens, with a CD release following on November 18.

What the new trailer reveals
The footage contrasts DEVA's controlled precision with the unpredictability of the physical world. Gabriel and the other agents face mechanized battles, unstable environments on Earth and revelations that challenge the mission they have been given. The promotional campaign also stresses the possibility of making choices beyond the system: not simply a hunt for fugitives, but a conflict about identity, embodiment and freedom.

Release date and international distribution
Expelled from Paradise: Resonance of the Heart will open in Japanese cinemas on November 13, 2026. At the time of writing, the official sources reviewed have not announced a release date for Italy or Germany, or an international streaming platform. Any European release window therefore remains unconfirmed.
