I Lost My Adventurer’s License Anime Reveals Teaser, Cast and January 2027 Premiere
I Lost My Adventurer’s License, but It’s Fine Because I Have an Adorable Daughter Now will premiere on Japanese television in January 2027. On October 15, 2026, the official website released the first teaser, a new visual and the core cast and staff details.
The announcement establishes the adaptation’s identity without filling in details that have not been confirmed: Studio Palette is producing the animation, while Hiroki Yasumoto and Yuka Iguchi lead the cast. The exact premiere date, Japanese broadcaster and international distribution remain unannounced.
A second life after losing the license
Douglas was once regarded as the strongest mage, but age, physical decline and his dismissal from the hero’s party leave him without an adventurer’s license. While wandering, he meets Rabi, a cursed girl with no family of her own.
Douglas chooses to protect her and continue the journey together. The story mixes difficult quests and acts of help along the road with quieter moments shared over food. Its emotional center is therefore not only a return to adventure, but the gradual creation of a bond that begins to resemble that of a father and daughter.
Hiroki Yasumoto and Yuka Iguchi lead the cast
Hiroki Yasumoto voices Douglas. In his official comment, the actor highlights the growth of a man who has reached rock bottom, his path with someone who becomes precious to him, and the conflict between resignation and the refusal to give up.
Yuka Iguchi voices Rabi. She describes the character as kind, brave and sincere, asking viewers to watch over Rabi’s growth after meeting Douglas. These are currently the only two officially announced cast roles.
Staff and Studio Palette
Yuki Inaba holds three key roles: director, series composer and scriptwriter. Kaori Yoshikawa handles character designs and serves as chief animation director. Oh Shu and Daiki Okuno compose the music, with SPACE SHOWER MUSIC producing it. Studio Palette is in charge of animation production.
The source is Manimani Ononata’s light novel, published by SB Creative under the GA Novel label, with original character concepts by Fuzichoco. The teaser and visual emphasize the contrast between Douglas’ past as an adventurer and the calmer life that begins to emerge through his journey with Rabi.
Release window and streaming
The only confirmed release window is January 2027 in Japan. At publication time, no exact day, broadcast time, network or international streaming platform had been announced. The episode count is also unknown.
What is confirmed is the television format, the January window, the two leads, the main staff, Studio Palette, the teaser and the visual. Any claim about a European simulcast or English dub would be premature until the production issues another official update.
