ACGames, a small independent studio based in Lamezia Terme, has been putting STONEFEATHER back in front of players in recent days and pointing people toward its Steam wishlist. It is a good moment to revisit this Calabrian project: an atmospheric adventure built around the physical sensation of flight. No release date has been announced, so the game remains firmly in development.

Flight is not transport — it is the game

ACGames calls its philosophy “Fly with Flow.” Diving builds speed, wide arcs preserve momentum, and updrafts carry the bird higher. Steam lists STONEFEATHER as Adventure, Indie and Simulation. Movement is simultaneously exploration, expression and mastery.

Bringing the wind back

The world has lost its wind. Playing as a bird born from stone, you search for Essences of Zefir that awaken gusts and updrafts, expanding how freely you can move. The current Steam page also describes a dedicated ocean area, where coastal ruins rise from the water and the sea, distance and altitude become navigation references.

An indie project from Calabria

ACGames is the gaming division of ACSoftware and is based in Lamezia Terme. IIDEA’s Games in Italy directory identifies it as a developer from Calabria, while the GDC 2026 Italian catalog presented STONEFEATHER as a vertical slice seeking partners. Today the project is public on Steam, supports English and Italian, and still has no confirmed launch date.
