Hyperarousal: Italian psychological horror from Aion Interactive brings Val Camonica to TGS 2026
Tokyo Game Show 2026 opens its public days today, and Milan-based Aion Interactive is one of the eleven studios in the official Italian pavilion. The team is showing an early demo of Hyperarousal, a first-person psychological horror game set in Val Camonica where memory, dreams, history and perception shape the experience.

Val Camonica becomes psychological space
Aion describes an immersive journey blurring reality and memory. Ancient symbols, historical places and the Italian landscape become part of the protagonist’s identity rather than background scenery.

Horror that reacts to the player
An adaptive system uses behavior, choices and reactions to alter perception and narrative paths. Hyperarousal was among Bologna Game Farm’s 2025 winners, and Aion was also selected for the GameBCN11 incubation program.

Why Tokyo matters
ICE-Agenzia and IIDEA confirm Aion Interactive among the eleven Italian studios at Makuhari Messe from September 17 to 21. A project rooted in a specific Italian territory is therefore meeting players, press and potential partners in Asia.

Aion Interactive is based in Milan. Hyperarousal remains in development and Steam currently says “Coming soon”. Official sources: Aion Interactive · IIDEA
