Yumene Connect Gets an Anime: Teaser, Cast and STUDIO MASSKET Staff
Yumene Connect is getting a television anime adaptation. The announcement arrived on October 14, 2026 through a newly launched official Shochiku Anime website, together with a teaser visual, the first promotional video and the core cast and staff names.
The announcement already defines the project’s creative identity without inventing a release date: the studio is confirmed, the leads have voices, and the teaser introduces the bright, science-fiction and deliberately irreverent tone of Ko Sawada’s comedy.

From Weekly Shonen Magazine to television
Ko Sawada’s manga, serialized by Kodansha in Weekly Shonen Magazine, follows Yuhi Takamiya. After illness causes him to miss the first days of high school, he struggles to make friends. His routine changes when Nano arrives, a clumsy alien whose improbable products are meant to grant wishes but usually trigger chaos instead.
The official website presents the series as a science-fiction comedy on a cosmic scale, built around the contrast between Yuhi’s isolation and Nano’s uncontrollable energy. The promotional material emphasizes pace, humor and fan service, all of which the anime aims to amplify through motion, voice acting and direction.

Lead cast and creative team
Yusuke Kobayashi voices Yuhi Takamiya, while Yu Shinohara plays Nano. They are the first two cast members to be officially confirmed; additional characters and performers have not yet been announced.
Sota Yokote directs the series. Yoshihiro Watanabe handles character design, Gigaemon Ichikawa oversees series composition and scripts, and Hayato Matsumura composes the music. Lantis produces the music, STUDIO MASSKET handles animation and Shochiku Anime leads the production committee.

What the teaser and official comments reveal
The first teaser focuses on Yuhi and Nano, turning the manga’s colorful look into fast, physical animation. The official visual pairs Nano with the alien creature Nyoru Puppu Panpippi, immediately setting up the contrast between a cute surface and out-of-control comedy.
In comments published by Shochiku, creator Ko Sawada thanks readers and the production team while describing his surprise at the adaptation. The staff also stresses a direct commitment to the source material’s provocative humor. Writer Gigaemon Ichikawa refers to a two-cour project, although no detailed broadcast plan has been announced.

Release date and streaming
The initial announcement does not provide a premiere date, broadcast season, Japanese networks or international streaming platforms. It would therefore be inaccurate to assign the show a release window or European availability before a future official update.
Confirmed so far are the TV format, STUDIO MASSKET, the two leads, the core creative staff, the teaser and the visual. The schedule, exact episode count, broadcasters and simulcast plans remain open.
