Isshiki-san Wants to Know About Love Reveals Main Trailer and Enako Opening
On October 31, 2026, the official website released the main trailer for Isshiki-san Wants to Know About Love. It adds two concrete details to the January 2027 premiere window: Enako performs the opening theme “Go yoku Koi wo Seisu!?” and voices Nene Haneshita. That dual role ties the song directly to the cast and delivers the clearest look yet at the anime’s romantic detective-comedy tone.
A love investigation in police uniform
Rinna Milford Isshiki is a 17-year-old elite police inspector nicknamed “Iron Rinna” for her flawless discipline. After meeting clumsy but sincere detective Meishi Rokutanda, she experiences palpitations she cannot classify. Her solution fits the job: turn love into an unsolved case, recruit Meishi for a secret pseudo-relationship and treat emotional vulnerability as a controlled experiment.

The trailer finds comedy in the clash between investigative logic and emotion. Interrogations, deductions and professional jargon are hilariously inadequate tools for understanding a crush. The setup therefore points to a couple-focused rom-com driven by reactions and misunderstandings rather than a conventional love triangle.
Enako performs the opening and joins the cast
Enako sings “Go yoku Koi wo Seisu!?” and plays Nene Haneshita, who appears in the official character materials beside the rest of the group. The main trailer connects the song to the series’ lively tone and introduces Nene as a real part of the ensemble, not just a promotional cameo.

Riko Akechi voices Rinna, with Shuichiro Umeda as Meishi. The cast also includes Haruki Ishiya as Danjuro Iwata, Takuma Nagatsuka as Masato Nakatani, Hiiro Ishibashi as Chikai Matsumoto, Yu Wakui as Rena Yamakawa and Enako as Nene Haneshita.

The creative team and Sakura Create
Kazuya Komai directs and Deko Akao handles series composition. Shohei Hamaguchi designs the characters, Noriyasu Murata the props, Akiko Saito the colors and Yasutada Kato the art. Daisuke Horino directs photography, Yusuke Ueno edits, Masaki Tsuchiya directs sound and Michiru composes the KADOKAWA-produced score. Sakura Create animates the series; Studio Twinkle handles photography and CG under CG director Satomi Nakajima.

The clearly identified core staff shows that this is an advanced production rather than a bare adaptation announcement. The trailer uses bright staging, readable expressions and reaction-based timing — strong foundations for a comedy in which emotional mistakes matter as much as dialogue.

January 2027 premiere and December advance screening
The official window remains January 2027 for television and streaming. An exact date, final broadcaster list and international platform have not yet been announced. In Japan, episodes 1 and 2 will screen early at Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas on December 13, 2026, followed by a talk with Riko Akechi, Shuichiro Umeda and Enako.

The screening arrives only weeks before the television launch and should provide the first evidence of how the manga’s comic rhythm translates to animation. For now, the information is refreshingly clear: trailer, opening and Enako’s casting were confirmed together without pretending the premiere is more precise than the official window.
THE SIGNAL // 08 BLACKOUT
