Disney has set the date for the return to Night Raven College. Disney Twisted-Wonderland The Animation: Episode of Savanaclaw will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on December 23, 2026, accompanied by a new visual that places Leona Kingscholar at the centre of a conflict involving several dorms.

The new arc consists of eight episodes, released weekly on Wednesdays. The October 29 announcement therefore replaces the earlier broad December window with a precise schedule. Dub and subtitle options for individual European territories have not yet been detailed.

Eight episodes, one every Wednesday

The new visual presents Leona dominating the scene and wielding magic, with Ruggie and Jack at his side. Yuga Hirasaka and Grim occupy the centre, surrounded by Heartslabyul students Riddle, Ace, Deuce, Trey and Cater. The composition suggests that Savanaclaw’s scheme will reach far beyond the dorm inspired by The Lion King.

A weekly schedule keeps the eight-part arc compact without releasing the entire season at once. Disney+ remains the only platform officially announced for the series.

The Magift tournament and Leona’s plan

The story unfolds as Night Raven College prepares for its inter-dorm Magift tournament. A string of mysterious incidents leaves several students injured. Acting on the headmage’s request, Yuga, Grim, Ace and Deuce investigate, eventually tracing the scheme to Leona, an exceptional talent constrained by his position as a second prince.

The arc sets merit, fate and ambition against one another. Its connection to The Lion King is more than visual: Savanaclaw brings tensions around strength, succession and resentment into the school, adapting Suzuka Oda’s manga based on Yana Toboso’s original project.

The returning staff and studios

Takahiro Natori serves as chief director and series composer, Shin Katagai directs and Yoichi Kato is the main writer. Akane Sato and Hanaka Nakano handle character design, while Yumeta Company and Graphinica animate the series. Takumi Ozawa composes the music and Aniplex handles music production.

The cast brings back Yuichiro Umehara as Leona, Aoi Ichikawa as Ruggie and Taito Ban as Jack. Fairouz Ai voices Yuga Hirasaka, with Noriaki Sugiyama as Grim. A third arc, Episode of Octavinelle, has already been announced but remains undated.

A visual promising a wider conflict

The composition of the new illustration is deliberately broad. It does not isolate the Savanaclaw trio, instead bringing in characters who were central to the Heartslabyul arc. That choice reinforces the series’ continuity and signals a mystery affecting the whole college.
