Marvel Cosmic Invasion: Castle Doom Turns the Beat ’Em Up Into a Run
Victor von Doom’s castle is not just a string of bonus stages. The Siege of Castle Doom adds a separate run-based mode to MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, built around different team combinations and decisions on every attempt. Dotemu and Tribute Games will release the premium DLC on November 10, 2026, for Steam, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

A race against the Siege Gauge
The mode revolves around the Siege Gauge, which rises whenever the team fails a challenge. Battery Cells found along the way power Reed Richards’ Stabilizer and slow Doom’s plan. That creates pressure throughout a run: chasing stronger rewards means accepting harder encounters, while a string of failures can bring the expedition to an early end.

Five doors, readable choices and real consequences
Each stop can present Equipment, Event, Heal, Infinite and Progression doors. The icon signals the kind of room ahead without removing uncertainty. Events may offer advantages or complications, healing becomes critical after a difficult fight, and Infinite doors push the risk higher. The structure gives the beat ’em up a roguelite cadence without replacing the cooperative combat of the main game.

Twelve perks and permanent progression
The 12 perks are split across Offense, Defense and Tactical categories. Some increase damage, others improve survival or change how a pair of heroes controls space. Reed’s Lab keeps unlocks between runs, gradually adding equipment, events and modifiers. Completing a run also awards a new palette, while the multiplayer MVP system records individual performance statistics.

Invisible Woman and Doctor Doom join the roster
The DLC adds Invisible Woman and Doctor Doom as playable characters. Sue Storm combines barriers, control and energy attacks; Doom brings technology and power. The contrast fits a mode designed to encourage new pairs and synergies, especially as the developers say it contains more than five times as many encounters as the main campaign.

Release date, platforms and what remains unknown
The Siege of Castle Doom arrives November 10 as premium content. The new official announcements do not state a price, so it should not be mistaken for a free update. The base game is required. The mode keeps MARVEL Cosmic Invasion’s cooperative focus while adding a replayable route where decisions matter as much as the number of enemies on screen.
