A campaign with Price on the run

The story begins with Captain Price being hunted as conflict erupts on the Korean Peninsula. A strategic weapon is close to falling into the wrong hands, sending the team through Korea, New York, Paris and Mumbai across sixteen missions.

The premise retains the series’ military and geopolitical tone while expanding the scale of its locations. Guided sequences, infiltration and more open firefights work together, giving players greater control over their approach.

Twenty launch maps: the full breakdown

The multiplayer package includes twelve core 6v6 maps, four 2v2 Gunfight arenas and three 32v32 Ground War battlefields. Kill Block rounds out the total as a modular training facility.

Weapons, Operators and progression

At launch there are 33 weapons, 33 Operators and more than a dozen modes. Standard progression runs to level 55 before moving into Prestige, while Create-a-Class remains the hub for tuning attachments, perks and equipment.

The launch notes also list Inflation, Hijack, Collateral and Combat Outpost. Infinity Ward shipped fixes for stability, user interface issues and camo tracking, making the first update a meaningful part of release day.

DMZ returns in the Hajin region

DMZ casts players as off-the-books assets behind enemy lines. Every deployment forces choices about objectives, resources worth securing and the right time to extract. Failure means losing what was carried into the field.

Hajin adds Operator progression designed to specialize roles and equipment over time. DMZ remains separate from battle royale, leaning on unpredictable encounters, exploration and shared squad risk.

What comes after launch

Shipment is scheduled for October 27, while Halloween versions of Infected and Possession are due in the week after launch. Season 1 and its Battle Pass will follow later, but the day-one package already spans campaign, competitive multiplayer and extraction.
