On October 23, TBS released the full trailer and a new visual for “Takopi’s Original Sin: Thank You, See You Tomorrow.” The compilation film opens in Japanese cinemas on November 27, 2026.

The project brings the six-episode adaptation of Taizan 5’s manga to the big screen in a new theatrical edit with additional scenes. No international theatrical release has been announced at this time.

A new trailer, a new visual and a song by Tele

Character designer Keita Nagahara drew the new visual. The full trailer also introduces “らびゅー,” the theme song by Tele selected for this theatrical version.

Director Shinya Iino says the cinema setting, large screen and sound system can make the story feel different for viewers who know the series and for those discovering it for the first time.

What changes from the series

The movie re-edits all six anime episodes into a single theatrical experience. TBS also confirms the addition of new scenes, so this is more than a consecutive screening of the original episodes.

The story retains its defining contrast: Takopi’s innocence collides with the pain surrounding Shizuka, Marina and the other children, while his happy gadgets trigger increasingly unpredictable consequences.

The main cast returns

Kurumi Mamiya voices Takopi and Reina Ueda returns as Shizuka. Konomi Kohara is back as Marina, Anna Nagase as Azuma and Ryota Osaka as Junya.

Keeping the original cast preserves the miniseries’ vocal identity, an important element for a film that must condense the entire narrative arc.
