Tokyo Game Show 2026: 11 Italian gaming companies take Made in Italy indie to Japan
Today, September 17, 2026, Tokyo Game Show opens at Makuhari Messe with an official Italy Pavilion bringing together 11 Made-in-Italy gaming companies — a timely snapshot of Italy's expanding indie scene and its push toward Asian partners and audiences.

Eleven Italian companies in Tokyo
The Italian Trade Agency, together with IIDEA, is hosting Aion Interactive, ACGames, Italian Games Factory, Megalith Interactive Studios, Memorable Games, Stupidi Pixel, Stratos: The Gaming Sphere, 34BIGTHINGS, DNSTY, RuneHeads e Untold Games in Hall 5, booth 05-C07. The official catalogue brings together studios and gaming companies from across Italy with projects for PC, console, mobile and XR.

Five games worth watching
Highlights include STONEFEATHER by ACGames, IDILI: Awakens by Megalith Interactive Studios, Splatchinko by Stupidi Pixel, Hell Galaxy by Italian Games Factory and Hyperarousal by Aion Interactive.

Why TGS matters for Italian indies
Several teams explicitly say in the official catalogue that they are seeking Asian publishing partners, strategic partnerships and B2B contacts. Tokyo is therefore both a creative stage and a business gateway.

A growing Italian games industry
IIDEA figures reported by ANSA today say Italy now has more than 200 active development studios, up from 48 in 2012, employing around 2,800 professionals.
